History

Rick’s Auto Body is a third generation family-owned auto collision repair and insurance collision center nestled in the historic and picturesque setting of Pawtuxet Village in Warwick, Rhode Island. Founded in 1961 by Americo “Rick” Piscione, the 13,000 square foot facility has two eco-friendly car paint and spray booths, body repair and reconditioning area, isolated mechanical repair area, parts storage, computerized paint mixing area, office space and customer waiting area under one roof. In the 1940’s, Rick worked as a painter’s helper and later became the head painter at Providence Buick. His skills with paint, and his ability to produce exceptional work were well known in the industry. His willingness to advise and assist others was legendary.

In 1961, Rick opened a business on Route 44 in Centredale asking his son Ronald J Piscione to join him. The business was so successful that in just 2 years they outgrew that location and moved to a larger location in Providence. But in 1965, when the legislature agreed to I-95/Rt 10 project, the state of Rhode Island purchased the Providence location. Rick decided to move to their current location on Post Road in Pawtuxet Village. Continuing the family tradition, following his graduation from the University of Vermont in 1990, Ronald “Ronnie” D Piscione became the 3rd generation to join the family business. With 50 years experience, Rick’s has become the most trusted community auto body repair shop in the area. For generations families have taken their repairs to Rick’s because they are trusted to provide a safe repair at a reasonable and fair price.

Rick’s Auto Body pioneered the “Green” Movement in auto body repair in Rhode Island by installing one of the first Global Finishing Solutions spray booths in New England. Using PPG waterborne paint products in conjunction with advanced spray booth filtration systems, Rick’s Auto Body is saving the environment and safeguarding the health of its employees and surrounding community. Today, Ronald “Ronnie” D. Piscione is the Vice-President of this family business alongside his father, Ronald J. Piscione. The business is staffed by ASE certified collision damage analysts and platinum I-CAR certified technicians. They are so confident in their work that Rick’s Auto Body warrantees the repair for as long as you own the vehicle.
